My Dream Is Coming True: I’m Buying a House

So… it’s here. My dream is finally becoming reality.

After so many sleepless nights, things are finally moving in the right direction. It all happened so quickly—my apartment sold in no time. And now, I’m buying a house. Yes, I’m buying a house!

I’m still in shock. It’s such a huge step for me, and I’m unbelievably proud that I managed to do it on my own. I handled everything myself, arranged everything, took care of every detail. I didn’t let the heartbreak I went through destroy me. Yes, I still see it as a tragedy—but I also believe now that it had to happen, and that in time it will bring me positive things I can’t yet see.

What I’m most proud of is this: I stood up on my own two feet. I took responsibility for my life, and for my daughter’s life. I told myself I would not let a man—who should have been my support—break me. Instead, I would use this situation to my advantage and finally start living the life I always dreamed of, but for some reason never allowed myself to live.

I don’t blame anyone. We lived the way we lived. I see now that it wasn’t right, but that’s the past. As for my marriage, I have no plans. We will live separately and time will show us what’s ahead. Maybe we’ll remain just parents, maybe friends, maybe something else. That’s for time to decide—not me.

Right now, I’m focused on finalizing the purchase of the house. And I still can’t quite believe it—that I’m saying “my house.” That my daughter and I will live in a home that is ours. She is over the moon—she would have moved in yesterday if she could. And I share her excitement. This feels like the beautiful beginning of a brand new chapter.

I’m deeply grateful for the circumstances that made this possible—for my work, for a stable income, for the fact that I worked hard to create this opportunity. I know not everyone is so fortunate, and that’s why I treasure it even more. Yes, the loan is big and I’ll have to pay it back, but it’s my chance to build a new home. And I will be forever grateful for that.

This is my new beginning.

And I’m ready.
