I’ve never been a big fan of Facebook, but I’ve had it since 2009. In recent years I hardly used it, keeping it mostly for events I wouldn’t hear about otherwise.
Now that we’re buying a house, I joined a few groups—furniture sales, DIY projects, gardening, and similar communities. In one of those groups, a kind woman posted that she was looking for a new circle of women to spend time with and go on trips. She created a group, and I happened to be one of the first members.
Soon, there were over 250 of us—women from all corners of the country, and even some living abroad. I love the energy that has grown there. Even though it’s still in the early stages, it already feels amazing. We’ve even planned our first meet-up with one of the founding members, who works as a sound therapist. Naturally, I signed up right away.
Once I experience this sound therapy, I’ll share more about it.
But for now, I just want to encourage you: if you feel lonely and don’t know how to connect with people, this might be a way. Sometimes, all it takes is overcoming that first fear and stepping out of your comfort zone. From there, something truly beautiful can grow. 🌿
